JAD Design Competition is the most famous design award in Korea.The competition has been held since 1994 by Joong Ang Design,a representative interior design company.It has helped students who have various backgrounds to communicate with each other and encouraged them to express their creativity through design.JAD Competition is focused on students creative work than professional practices because the purpose of the competition is to make a great contribution towards development of design field.There is no application fee for the competition.The theme of the competition is "Design Saves us: Soft space".Therefore, more unique and experimental concepts are better than practical one for the competition.The awards include Gold prize(1 team): US $10,000 and testimonial,Silver prize(1 team): US $5,000 and testimonial, Bronze prize(2 team): US $1,000 and testimonial,Special selection(15 teams): testimonial & Finalist(many): testimonial.JAD hopes to see suggestions for new approach of innovative facade design with no boundary restrictions.
