The editorial team of CSI-NSIT Students' Branch presents to you the
fifth edition of its quarterly newsletter, Bits `n' Bytes. While the first
two editions primarily focused on spreading awareness about Open Source
and related tools, the third and the fourth focused on Web Development and
Digital Security respectively. This edition, however, diversifies the focused
area as we delve into topics like Animation and Visual Effects. The
article on `Careers in Animation' would hopefully be an interesting read.
The article `Lord of the Rings Trilogy - A Triumph of Special Effects '
introduces some of most powerful techniques of Visual Effects. Open Source
does feature in the form of `Elephant's Dream—An Open Source Dream', an
upcoming medium of communication. Also included is part 3 of the series
`Buyer's Guide to Assembling A Desktop PC'. We hope that you have a fine
