Thanks Eric. You fixed it. One more question: What determines the color?
background or color?

I know that "color" sets text color. Also, I did not realize that an hr had a
border?

It is confusing me, simple as it is. Thanks, Arnie

You've got the border set to zero and the background set to white. Set the
background to a color other than the background of the page and it'll show up.

You've got multiple definitions for HR in your css, too.

As a matter of fact that is where I got the idea to style the hr. Thanks

      See http://www.sovavsiti.cz/css/hr.html for info.

Just above the footer on each page I have a reminder as to what page
the reader is on. That reminder should be between two hr's. The problem is
that the hr's do not display?

They do display on my editor, AceHTML.

Thanks for you help once again. Arnie Shafer
