I had actually read a similar solution earlier this week on this list. For some reason I didn't think it would apply to my situation. Well, it is exactly what I was looking for, THANKS! I could not agree with you more regarding the UI of it. It's annoying to try to get around the pop ups as is. I had actually already done something similar to what you suggested on a "lite" version of this calendar.
