I think if I were starting from scratch, (and next time I will) I would look more closely at the faux column suggestion. I read that and for what I was trying to accomplish it would have required a substantial rewrite. For now the "display:table" solution will be a nice patch. Thanks for the help!

I'll admit to having given up on the table group of display values due to IE's non-support. I need to re-investigate. That's a novel, to me, use. But, I'm probably behind the curve.
