The online CSS optimizer that you linked to doesn't explain

canonicalization that I'm looking for?
The optimizer at flumpcakes is said to remove redundancies and reformat the code to a set style which I suppose would be the canonization you're looking for. It's also said to switch some things to short form, though I've only seen it do that with color codes (for instance, #666666 to #666). It does take out a bunch of white space, but I think it could be a bit more aggressive there .

I haven't tested it extensively, but did run a few of my sheets through it and it took off a handful of bytes. Though I didn't turn off the Pretty Print option so I had to fix a lot of white space formatting.
