It's a specificity problem. Rewrite your selector as follows for those LIs.
#content li.unbullet {list-style-type: none;}
#content li is more specific than .unbullet, so the style you have for the
class is not applying (background color is because it's not been declared in
#content li)
So rewriting the selector as above should get rid the unwanted bullets.
