Greetings CSS-ers -
Apologies if you've seen this before - I subscribed and posted these
questions earlier from gmail - my post appeared as garbage-text,
dunno why. So I've subscribed from a POP email account but have
already posted it twice without seeing it in the digest or archives.
I've been re-designing a table-based website using CSS layout. It
looks pretty good in Safari, Opera (Mac) and FireFox (Mac/PC), but
not IE (Mac/PC). I've fixed some glaring rendering issues, but am
stumbling-in-the-dark on some others.
My issues have been probably been addressed in this list, but I've
done a bunch of reading, and am not sure how to describe the issues
in a search string, so with apologies for asking the
already-answered-someplace, these are the issues I haven't been able
to resolve:
1. table doesn't properly display its borders.
2. 2 divs obscure their parent's border-left (all pages). Box-model issue?
3. vertical and horizontal stretch of div contentbody: horiz only as
wide as text, vert is crazy long.
4. my footer doesn't appear within it's parent div, but sometime
appears within a cousin(?) div, if the cousin pushes down far enough.
