Don't know what is the correct behaviour (and not sure this is the correct
place to post the question).

I have a table in my markup which uses a COL tag for each column of the
table. In the COL tag I specify a class which has to be applied (in my
understanding of it) to all the corresponding TD's of the column. This is
what I get in IE 6, but both Firefox and Opera seem to ignore the "class"
attribute in the COL tag. Which one is the correct behaviour? It seems to me
that IE 6 is correct, and if not I would question what is the meaning of the
"class" attribute in a tag (COL) which has no content in it.

Thank you.

Roberto Gattinoni.
