Thanks for all the help. It is important to me to have "nice" code as a matter of principle, so I didn't want to throw IE into quirks mode (a prereq for almost every solution).
The banner now as an absolute (stuck to page) position for IE and fixed (stuck to viewport) position for Ff/Safari. http://curby.net/doc/jello-new.html Is it considered good practice to style an anchor this way, or should I style a span inside the anchor? Also, Firefox draws a too-wide gap between the footer and the top columns. If you turn off Javascript, the gaps are all ok. I've been scratching my head for a while over this one, so any ideas would be most appreciated. It looks fine in Safari/IE. Thanks again. =) --Curby ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
