Whether you want to use javascript & nine yards code to implement a feature that is available in any browser is a matter of opinion. Although ALA is not using that technique, it might be best if they got their own act together before they publish articles on font-sizing. The entire ALA site is not a pretty picure in Internet Explorer at text size 'larger' or 'largest.' There are many pages of font related stuff on the css-d wiki-- it is one of the best places to start finding what may be best for your /users./
