First, make sure you doctype and mime-type match.  The mime-type says 
it is html while the doctype says it is xhtml1.1 which isn't supposed 
to be served as html.

Second,  I may be missing something in your code, but I can't see a 
reason to absolutely position bottomyellowthing.  Leaving it 'in the 
flow' would likely solve your problem...

If I've 'missed the boat' let me know where I went wrong and I'll try 
again.
