Dan, thank you for this information...I changed all the ems to pixels but the 
problem remained...upon looking at it again  realized that it was simply a 
width problem...I had not taken into account the sidebar width so made the 
width too long...(duuuuh!) But, just the same, your information was very 
helpful and I will keep it mind for future reference. Thanks!
