Why don't you format the links into an unordered list? You would have to 
change your code to:

<ul>
<li><a href="" title="">A picture Description link</a></li>
<li><a href="" title="">General Resume for Angus MacKinnon</a></li>
</ul>

(Stripped out the link text for conciseness)
This will ensure that the two links are displayed on two different lines 
- which is what I assume that you wanted to do.
