Thank you Jim...the first suggestion here worked after some tweeking to the 
padding settings...(don't know why I didn't think of it ;o!)

  In the html try moving #menu inside of #content.

  You could also put a negitive top margin on the content div to raise it up, 
then create a class to add to the first <p> in the content to push it down so 
it is below the menu.
