Hmm. That is a question you should never ask me on a Monday morning. 
Nevertheless, it is coming along just fine, Martha(validate the markup, 
btw). Then comes the tacky question: Would you consider raising the bar?
For example, your side columns are really just /lists/ of navigation 
items, and usually are set as such, see: 
<http://css.maxdesign.com.au/index.htm>.
You may want to consider a structured 3column layout that will place the 
footer beneath all the columns(instead of below the content col only). 
This is a robust, stable layout you might consider(you'll find others on 
the wiki): <http://www.alistapart.com/articles/negativemargins/>. And 
with proper practices, and coding, you'll be able to eliminate most, if 
not all, of the <br>'s in your markup.Tidy Online 
<http://infohound.net/tidy/> will assign a 'doctype,' and correct most 
html errors prior to using the w3c markup validation service. It is good 
that your css is valid.
