Are you referring to the vertical margins on the left column of links?
If so, try using #sidebar ul li { padding:0 0 5px 0; } instead of margin

and I don't know why IE has such funny column margins compared to the
good browsers. I'll most likely redo the design later with flexible
columns but at least for now I would like to know what the problem is
