Helma, If the image is too big to fit on a piece of paper, with the other content that is already there, the browser has only two options: split the image across the sheets, or push the whole thing to the next page so it can display in one piece. My browser was doing the second option, which I think you would agree with me is far preferable to the first option in this case, no? So I'm afraid that you'll have to live with it. If something doesn't fit, it doesn't fit, unless you make it smaller. Where the pages break is going to be entirely dependent on the users' settings anyway: paper size, paper orientation, whether they have shrink to fit turned on, whether they are printing at 50% size, etc. So there's only so much you can do to control this.
