Hi,
I have a layout where I am using display:block on some elements.
Unfortuatly ASP.NET generates HTML and has applied an inline with
display:none to dynamically show/hide portions of the page. This
display property is overriding the value in my stylesheet.

I don't want to use !important to force an override because there are
times when it is appropriate to have the element hidden. Any ideas on
how to get have a span display as a block without using display? I have
tried playing around using float but have not had any success with
getting it to appear the same as display:block in my layout.

I have a sample at http://www.usip.edu/webtest/cssproblem.aspx . The top
portion shows how the layout should look. The bottom portion shows what
happens when it is dynamically generated. The problem element is the
<span class="error"> element, which has gets the the inline display
applied to it.

Any ideas? Thanks,
