Matt, I've found that complex layouts, involving nested floats and positioned elements, work just fine in Dreamweaver if I get them to work in older Operas (5 or 6), without hacks that is. And that usually just requires trying different ways to do the same thing (padding instead of margin, adding position:relative here and there, etc).
