Just a suggestion, as I can't be sure since it's too inconsistent in my
IE6 on line - and doesn't happen at all for a local copy.

I would add...
#project-areas-inner {width: 100%;}
...or...
#project-areas-inner {width: 470px;}
...so the float-width isn't depending entirely on the width of the
image. Without the image the #project-areas-inner float bocomes narrower
in all browsers - as it should, and knowing how erratic IE/win is with
calculations and timing, a declared width may help stiffen it up a bit.
