Exactly.

Looks like the perfect "passed validation" mess to me...
<http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunlaug.no%2Ftos%2Falien%2Ftest_07_4481.html&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&ss=1&verbose=1>

...and a bit better than with the original DTD...
<http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunlaug.no%2Ftos%2Falien%2Ftest_07_4480.html&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&ss=1&verbose=1>

...but of course it is better with the "recommended" DTD...
<http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunlaug.no%2Ftos%2Falien%2Ftest_07_4482.html&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&ss=1&verbose=1>

So now all we need is for the validator to give a pass on this...
<http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunlaug.no%2Ftos%2Falien%2Ftest_07_4483.html&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&ss=1&verbose=1>
...if someone can decide that we can do without versioning.

I'll rather get a pass from the validator - and all major browsers - on
this...
<http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunlaug.no%2Ftos%2Falien%2Ftest_07_4484.xhtml&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&ss=1&verbose=1>
...so I can focus on CSS again.

regards
        Georg
