Hey Steph, I just had a look at your page in ffox and ie6 on a pc and can't see a difference in the background colour.
Mac's screens have a different gamma range to pc screens. So if your looking at your site on a mac screen and a pc screen side by side the colours will be different but that's the screen not the browser. Hope that helps.
