The specMenu has no styling for the anchors, thus no haslayout. Currently you have one major guillotine bug issue [1]. When you hover the "Home" anchor in your breadcrumb menu at the top of the page, the footer jumps up. You may have to insert a clearing div in the mainContent div to auto contain the two floats.
