Hello again!
Thanks for the answers, some of them have been very helpful.

this is a url we can use for testing http://www.ccilanciano.com/dev/test
php , the real page is www.ccilanciano.com, as you can see, IE 7 and IE6 don
t show the images when height="" and width="". If you try to load the same
images with the same attributes in a new html file (no css), they will be
shown!

No, I haven't! you can see it in the css that is linked to that page...

I found your article very interesting! Thanks a lot, will be very helpful in
the future.
I hate IE.

Please refer to the previous urls for a test case.
I'm sorry, I'm reading this newsletter since months but that is my first
post here and being clear is not so easy as it seems!!
(I like your website a lot, I think I already noticed it in the past, should
be in my favourites. Pleasure to discuss with you)
I think I've kinda figured out what is happening here and my statement was
actually not correct. If I use this syntax: width="" height="" the image in
IE7 and below is not shown. If I omit height and width, then the image is
back there. It was weird though when I tried in a plain HTML file with only
an image in it, with width="" height="" it was shown in the correct way (I
m going to check it again though).
Maybe some of you can see what the point is now....
I'm not an IT person, so probably some of you has got a correct definition
for this.
What I can guess is just IE giving value "0" when the value for width and
height are left empty.
Anyway, thanks for all your answers!
I hope everyone will have a nice weekend!!
Chiara ("Kiara")
