Very interesting.

It appears that the first and perhaps second 
image that is addressed will work as intended, 
but more than that the technique goes bonkers.

It's as if the relative location of the 
background image in the y direction is being 
doubled at times. However, a refresh will reset 
it and you can try again with a different state 
-- of course, until you reach a threshold of some 
type and it fails again.

Any ideas as to how to make the background image 
location adhere to what's stated in the css for 
this browser?
