I have created a CSS-driven dropdown navbar, sample page: http://webdesign101.dk/cssmenu/dropdown.html Please notice that the level 2 submenus have a 1 pixel overlap to the level 1 menu. I have introduced that because Safari 3 on both Windows and OSX systems otherwise puts the menu 1 pixel below the bottom of the level 1 menu.
This is not a satisfactory solution, but I am at a loss to explain why this is necessary and what else can be done.
