...turn it 90 degrees so the horizontal fixed positioning becomes
vertical, and add suitable min/max-height values instead of the -width ones.
It'll work, but I scrapped my old test page 2 years ago and don't have
time to create another one right now. IE6 needs some help (like in that
page), but others will do fine
