Brian, This [1] is a color-stripped "for position only" corrected layout for IE/6 & IE/7. I hope it helps to show what is where. Difficult to nail any one single problem as there are numerous questions and issues. A matter of horizontal and vertical overlap of containers and miscalculated width, I guess. One hack for IE/6 was added, along with an addition for IE/6s font- scaling bug.Numerous changes to the CSS are on the file. The voice/family hack was deleted-- not much use nowadays. This layout will not resolve everything, but once you delete the rules and put the images back in, I think you'll be closer cross-browser.
