You've now changed the font size in your h1 style from 250% to 3em. To accommodate this and to stop the letters merging vertically, you need to remove the "margin-top:3px;" from your h1 style and set "line-height:30px;" in your h1 style. I'm not sure exactly where you want the "Reverse screen colours" 'stripe' to sit vertically, but if it's where it looks right to me, then you need to set "padding-bottom:65px;" instead of 80px in your h1 style.
I hope that sorts it out for you. I'm not sure what they mean by a gap between the eye and the letters, there's just not enough information from the AOL user and TBQH the way AOL screw everything else up on the 'net, it wouldn't surprise me if it's AOL that's the problem, not you! <g> Regards, Alan. www.theatreorgans.co.uk www.virtualtheatreorgans.com Admin: ConnArtistes, UKShopsmiths, 2nd Touch & A-P groups Shopsmith 520 + bits Flatulus Antiquitus ----- Original Message ----- From: Hayden's Harness Attachment To: Alan K Baker Sent: Sunday, April 27, 2008 10:35 PM Subject: Re: [css-d] Banner Font to big (Take 2) Alan Thank you. the AOL user also says; " ... There is now a large gap between the eye and the name, with the letters over running each other on the far right." I do not see this gap in IE7.
