sure, how about this:

(note: this illustrates my point slightly better in FF)
so you can see here that the a:hover{bgcolor} is showing underneath the
transparent gif. again, what i'd really like is to UNIVERSALLY turn off
"a:hover" for images. ...but like i said before "a img {...}"
declarations don't usually seem to work.
i'm not holding my breath or anything, but it sure would be cool...
