Do you really mean "font-size : 16em;" on all those elements? That value blows the entire page across a few dozen screens all by itself since it gets multiplied by 16 I don't know how many times down the chain, so start by deleting that and replace it with something more reasonable, like "font-size: 100%;". Also: go through the HTML validator's list of error, and fix the source-code.
