Right. That's what I thought. But if it is the margin, why is it not collapsing? Given the following: <p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">blah blah blah blah</p> <hr style="margin-top: 1em;" /> There should only be 1em between the elements -- holding aside padding. In IE7 it looks like it is adding them and putting a 2em space.
