Rather than using an image for the footer, which just consists of two
solid colors, I would use some CSS. Give the footer container the
background color and simply add only a top border in the other shade
of green with the desired thickness. This will avoid images, stop the
issues you're experiencing, and have the ability to easily grow with
changes in browser text size.
