FWIW I volunteer 2 days a week mentoring adults in a comprehensive Web design course. This may well be useful for illustrating some effects of "hasLayout". Because beginning students tend to over-specify everything, adding widths and heights when not needed, I see about as many cases of unexpected results because a container *has* hasLayout as cases where it is beneficial. YMMV.
