I feel like I am working from the stone age. I have a legacy custom Cobol application running on SCO Unix and I have built a basic, although very in-efficient, web order application. If you click on the link below, you will see that I have a simple order form that will allow the customer to select up to 15 different items per order. Each line item has a drop down that contains every item available for purchase, which is several thousand items, and each drop down contains an identical list of items. So, 15 order lines times thousands of items and you have a huge html page.
There has to be a way to streamline this.
