While there may be a few exceptions, I find that the moment we start talking about "type" we are no longer thinking of the content of our site as something that people on a whole host of different devices may be accessing and need to be able to read. If text breaking differently messes up the design of you site, I'd suggest re-designing it so that it can accommodate the flexibility that is inherent in the web.
