I have finished my research on the issue I presented yesterday and have found that as of Android 2.0-2.1update1 @font-face doesn't work. I have confirmed this with the Android SDK which provides emulators. The bug is also reported here http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=4448 I have also found that using the Opera Mobile 11 browser does support @font-face on Android 2.1update1. Android 2.2 on up does support @font-face again.
