CSS3 linear gradients are supported in Android 2.3+, Chrome 1+,
Firefox 3.6+, Opera 11.1+, and Safari 4+. Internet Explorer can add
gradients using a filter and supports them back to IE 5.5. This isn't
CSS3, but it is an option for cross-browser compatibility.
