As specified in CSS2.1 (and not since changed by any later version) presentational HTML attributes are treated as “presentational hints”, which are "translated to the corresponding CSS rules with specificity equal to 0, and are treated as if they were inserted at the start of the author style sheet. They may therefore be overridden by subsequent style sheet rules" - <http://www.w3.org/TR/2011/REC-CSS2-20110607/cascade.html#preshint> Cheers, Nick. -- Nick Fitzsimons http://www.nickfitz.co.uk/ @NickFitz ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [css-d@lists.css-discuss.org] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ List policies -- http://css-discuss.org/policies.html Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
