**It might be problem with properly rendering* *alpha transparency of png
files in custom browsers (IE6 shows grey background instead of png
transparency, but Opera makes it ok ). You may try do the same with some
simple gif as a background. If gif works fine its a png format problem.

And quotation marks around the url attribute - as Jamie said.
