Hi, I have been reading a number of exchanges on this forum and others with interest, and am wondering whether it make sense to move this forum onto a more Web2.0 platform. Yeugh! I hear you say, but think about it for a moment. email lists are not really valid in 2008 - when just techies ruled the waves in 1993 bulletins made sense. I do not believe it was the design intention of email to act as an information multicast. Because it has worked till now does not imply it should continue working in the future.
Just think how a portal with a number of rss feeds would work - some flagged hard-core-java, some java-jobs, presentation-and-courses, ... There are plenty of ways to do this (Drupal is my fave). But I am sure Java provides some nice tools too. I derive some value from this forum as it is now, directly and indirectly, so I would hesitate to reduce its momentum. Regards David PS I am a programmer and am not flogging [new | exciting | international] opportunities. We do however have to find new ways for our community to interact with others :) -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CTJUG Tech" group.
