Amanda Williams at CTLS Subject: Upcoming Young Adult Workshop Series with Patrick Jones The Texas State Library and Archives Commission is pleased to announce an upcoming workshop series by Patrick Jones entitled "Best Practices For Serving Young Adults In Libraries: A How To Do It Workshop." Workshop Description: What are the best practices for serving young adults in libraries? Consultant Patrick Jones will lead a workshop reviewing the best practices for connecting young adults and libraries. After covering the core values of young adult librarianship, Jones will examine robust models of services from across the nation. Attendees will share best practices and stimulate creation of new practices. The afternoon will focus on all aspects of teen summer reading programs, including managing teen volunteers.
