If you’ve used EBSCO’s Searchasaurus database that we get through TexShare, you’ve probably experienced the frustration of getting caught in a loop when trying to exit.  Well, it looks like they are finally offering a solution to that pesky little problem.  Read on to find out how to fix it.  Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks,

Dear Searchasaurus Customer,

This coming Thursday, March 7, Searchasaurus will be upgraded and will feature two new islands: "Dictionary" (The American Heritage Children's Dictionary) and "Pictures" (the Image Collection). You may view the new look at http://www.ebscoweb.com/NewReleases.asp.

The upgrade also features a change to the behavior of the "Exit" button in Searchasaurus to match the functionality of EBSCOhost. Users who exit the program can now be directed back to your home library URL, if this has been entered in EBSCOadmin, or to www.epnet.com if no home library URL has been entered.

We've also made some usability enhancements such as replacing textual navigation links with graphics and adding a Lexile Limiter to the search screen for Primary Search and Middle Search.
