To all ILL staff on the CTLS-L listserv:
This weekend a patron at Austin Public Library found several ILL return items, over 10 items in the central library parking lot. Most of these books were torn out of their wrappers and left. Almost all of them were area library books. I have checked with our distribution department for help and our security officers are aware of the incident.
We cleared the books found. However, if you have books that were returned in the past week or two that does not clear on your circulation record give me a call at 1/800/242-1880 or 512/974-7399.
Also, because of this incident, please do not place blue sheets or green cards with your books. Send them in a separate envelope.
