Executive Director, Tocker Foundation. The Tocker Foundation was endowed by Philip and Olive Tocker. The purpose of the Foundation is to distribute funds principally for the support of, encouragement for, and assistance to small rural libraries in Texas. Darryl Tocker has been the Executive Director of the Foundation since 1990. Mr. Tocker also serves on the board of the Friends of Libraries and Archives of Texas. He is a current member of the TexShare Advisory Board. Term to expire August 31, 2005. Public library representative: Eva Poole. Library Director, Denton Public Library. Ms. Poole is a leader in promoting quality library service to Texans. Currently the president-elect of the Texas Library Association, she also serves as the chair of the Public Library Association's (PLA) Bylaws and Organization Committee, and as secretary of the Amigos Library Services Board of Trustees. Additionally, Ms. Poole is a member of the PLA National Conference Program Subcommittee, the Board of Advisors for University of North Texas School of Library and Information Sciences, and the Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) Committee on Organization. She is currently vice chair of the TexShare Advisory Board. Term to expire August 31, 2005. Public university representative: Douglas Ferrier. Director of Library, Information Resources and Distance Education, University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. Mr. Ferrier serves on the Texas Library Association Legislative Committee, the University of Texas System Advisory Committee on Library Affairs, the Texas Council of State University Librarians. Term to expire August 31, 2005. Community college representative: Dennis Michaelis. President McLennan Community College. Member of American Association of Community College Trustees, Texas Community College Teachers Association, Texas Association of Community Colleges. Chair of the Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund (TIF) Higher Education Working Group and member of TIF Sustainability Task Force. Term to expire August 31, 2005.
