The following information was posted to the Genealib mailing list today. I thought it would be helpful to those of you who use the TSL databases to look up census information. Laurie ***** There's been a lot of census material added to HeritageQuest Online in the past few months. Forgive the somewhat commercial nature of my reply, but I wanted to make sure that everyone knew what's actually available in the product. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have specific questions or concerns. Yes, we will soon be adding the 1900 Census index and images to HeritageQuest Online. We will also be adding our 1820 and 1860 indexes in the near future. The exact release dates have not yet been announced. The 1900 index will be the same one that's available to consumers through our partnership with Genealogy.com. The 1910 Census index and images were released on December 12. On December 31, we added the complete images for the *1920* Census. This means that the digital images for all U.S. Federal Census decades (1790-1930) are now available, except for 1900. Here's a decade-by-decade status: 1790 search name index & browse images available 1800 search name index & browse images available 1810 search name index & browse images available 1820 browse images available [index coming soon] 1830 browse images available 1840 search name index & browse images available 1850 browse images available 1860 browse images available [index coming soon] 1870 search name index & browse images available 1880 browse images available 1890 search name index & browse images available 1900 not available [index & images coming soon] 1910 search name index & browse images available 1920 browse images available 1930 browse images available As you've noted, HeritageQuest Online is available by subscription only to libraries. This includes public, academic and government libraries, as well as genealogical and historical societies. Patrons can also use this service from the convenience of their homes via the optional remote access feature. Individual or private consumer subscriptions to our Census and Genealogy & Local History Collections are available through Genealogy.com.
