We just charge what it actually costs to return it (using the rate they paid to get it to us). Most people don't seem to have a problem with this, although there's always a few who want to tell us how their old library did it for free! I would appreciate any and all feedback. We currently charge $2.00 per item, but since it costs more than that to mail the ILLs, we are considering going up on that fee.
