Friends -
I just attended the Texas State Library's grant workshop in Wells Branch. WOW! I learned a lot, and I'm sure the CTLS libraries who attended would say the same. Not only was the info useful but the presenter, Jennifer Peters, knows a lot about grants. You will leave feeling like you can really write a grant! They are repeating the workshop in these cities: April 21 (afternoon), West April 22 (afternoon), Justin April 23 (morning), Mt. Pleasant May 6 (afternoon), Pasadena May 7 (afternoon), The Woodlands May 21 (morning), Lamesa Send a staff member, board member, volunteer or Friend of the Library. And bring business cards. Other grant professionals - who may know just the funder you need - may attend, and these folks trade business cards like crazy. The workshop is free and is worth the trip.
