My understanding is that during the period before colonization native-americans numbered less then five million in the are we now call the United States. Since that time, the population of this same area has expanded to over 270 million. This expansion was all under a form of capitalism. If so many millions lost their lives because of capitalism and the previous system was preferable in terms of preserving the lives of the inhabitants then it would seem to me that these figures should be reversed.
